County Route 14 is a north-south road in central Mercer County, running entirely parallel to the West Virginia Turnpike.
It functions as a continuation of Eads Mill Road, continuing south from where the central leg of CR 3 leaves off. With the exception of the northernmost 2 kilometres, the entire road is two-laned with a centre stripe.
CR 14 was commissioned in 1933, and routed upon pre-existing infrastructure from the late nineteenth century.
Although the overall course of the highway has been unchanged since its inception, the portion of CR 14 surrounding its intersection with CR 7 in Gardner was adjusted when the West Virginia Turnpike was "twinned" in 1979. This left behind a stub of old road, designated 14/3.
