Overview

County Route 13 is a road at the western edge of Mercer County, touching the McDowell County line. Starting in McComas, its route follows Crane Creek to a series of switchbacks at Windmill Gap, then descends. It is entirely two-laned, with a centre stripe.

History

CR 13 was commissioned in 1933, and routed upon pre-existing infrastructure from the early twentieth century. Its course has been unchanged since its inception.
